Remote Full-time 3+ years Engineering
Build and ship core product features across our Nuxt frontend and Node.js backend from real-time collaboration to AI-powered lab creation.
About the role
We're looking for a Full Stack Developer who cares about product quality as much as code quality. You'll work across the stack on Stepwik Studio, our editor, APIs, integrations, and the infrastructure that powers interactive learning for teams.
What you'll work on
- Design, build, and maintain features across the frontend (Vue/Nuxt) and backend (Node.js/Express)
- Collaborate with design and product on user-facing flows from spec through release
- Write clean, tested code and participate in code reviews
- Improve performance, reliability, and developer experience in the codebase
- Integrate third-party services (payments, email, analytics, AI providers) where needed
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of full stack development experience shipping production web applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (Vue or React)
- Experience building REST APIs and working with databases (MongoDB or similar)
- Comfortable with Git, CI/CD, and debugging across the stack
- Clear communicator who can break down technical tradeoffs for the team
Nice to have Optional
- Experience with Nuxt, Vuetify, or real-time collaboration (WebSockets/Yjs)
- Familiarity with TipTap, ProseMirror, or rich-text editing
- Background in developer tools, EdTech, or B2B SaaS
- Exposure to AI/LLM integrations in product features
