1. Service Description

Stepwik is a SaaS content platform that enables users to:

• Create, publish, and manage codelabs and educational courses
• Utilize AI-powered features to assist in writing, editing, and optimizing content
• Share educational content with a global community
• Access premium features through subscription plans

2. Account Registration and Eligibility

By creating an account on Stepwik, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the platform.

• Age Requirement: You must be at least 13 years old. If under 18, you must have parental or legal guardian consent.
• Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
• Account Information: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.

3. Subscription Plans and Billing

Stepwik offers various subscription plans with different features and pricing tiers. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to the following:

• Billing Cycle: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) as selected during signup.
• Payment: You agree to provide valid payment information and authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees associated with your subscription.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to modify subscription prices at any time. Changes will be communicated in advance and apply to your next billing cycle.
• Automatic Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

You can cancel your subscription at any time. If you cancel, your access will remain active until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are provided for partially used periods.

To cancel, use your account settings or contact support@stepwik.com. All subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.

5. Content Ownership and Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain ownership of all content you create, publish, or upload to Stepwik. By publishing content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, distribute, and modify your content solely for the purpose of operating and promoting the platform.

AI-Generated Content: When using AI features, you acknowledge that AI-generated content may be based on publicly available information. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring the accuracy of all AI-assisted content before publishing.

Platform Content: All content, features, and functionality of the Stepwik platform are owned by Stepwik or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. AI Features Usage

When using AI-powered features:

• You acknowledge that AI-generated content is provided "as is" and may require review and editing.
• You are responsible for ensuring that AI-assisted content complies with these Terms and applicable laws.
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or quality of AI-generated content.
• AI features may be subject to usage limits based on your subscription plan.

7. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
• Publish content that is defamatory, harassing, abusive, or harmful
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or any harmful software
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' accounts
• Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation or servers
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the platform without authorization

Stepwik reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms and to suspend or terminate accounts for repeated violations.

8. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee that the platform will be available at all times or free from errors. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform, perform maintenance, update features, or change pricing. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

9. Third-Party Services

Third-party links or services may be available on Stepwik, but we are not responsible for their content or practices, and you use them at your own risk. This includes payment processors, analytics services, and other integrated third-party tools.

10. Termination

Stepwik reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or disruptive behavior. Upon termination:

• You will lose access to your account and premium features.
• Your content may be permanently deleted after a reasonable notice period.
• Any outstanding subscription fees remain due.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

We provide Stepwik "as is" and "as available," without any warranties, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the platform will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure. Your use of the platform is at your own risk.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stepwik and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill resulting from your use of the platform.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stepwik, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to Terms

Stepwik may modify these Terms over time. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of Stepwik after changes go into effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

15. Copyright and Intellectual Property Rights (DMCA)

If you believe that content on Stepwik infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to support@stepwik.com containing:

• Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
• Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
• Identification of the infringing material and its location on Stepwik
• A statement of good faith belief that the use is not authorized
• A statement that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
• Your physical or electronic signature

Counter-notifications and repeat infringer account terminations are handled in accordance with the DMCA.

16. API Terms of Use

If you have API access through your subscription plan, the following terms apply:

• API Access: Granted based on your subscription tier and subject to rate limits and usage restrictions.
• API Keys: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your API keys and must not share them with unauthorized parties.
• Rate Limits: API usage is subject to rate limits to ensure fair usage and platform stability.
• Prohibited Uses: You may not scrape data beyond reasonable use, create applications that compete with Stepwik, circumvent subscription limitations, or overload the platform infrastructure.
• API Changes: We reserve the right to modify, deprecate, or discontinue API endpoints with reasonable notice.

17. Beta and Preview Features

Beta, preview, or experimental features are provided "as is," may contain bugs, and may be modified or discontinued at any time without notice. Your use of beta features is at your own risk.

18. Force Majeure

Stepwik shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government actions, or internet failures.

19. Entire Agreement and Severability

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Stepwik regarding your use of the platform. If any provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision.

20. Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your account without our prior written consent. Stepwik may assign these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time without notice.

21. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction. You agree that disputes will be resolved individually and not as part of a class action or representative proceeding.
